Otter Point, Sooke, Vancouver Island (via flickr)
During my recent landscape photo shoot at Otter Point near Sooke, BC, I came across this lonely picnic table pretty much in the middle of nowhere.
Granted, the access to this place isn’t far from Hwy #14 (West Coast Rd.), but it’s pretty much hidden from view. It’s a solid picnic table with the most amazing views of the Juan de Fuca Strait.
I’m assuming this is public property. There are no signs and maybe it’s park land. But this is the only thing around there, other than waves, ocean and skies for miles.
I’m going here.
Actually I was done yesterday, but didn’t realize that there would be no classes today and tomorrow bc of all the graduation hullaballo. I like that word. Need to use it more.
Anyway. No students today, and my co-worker just told me that there aren’t classes tomorrow either. I’m officially done. No more classes. Ever.
I just did the challenge on playspent.org that someone posted on tumblr earlier (but now I can’t find it when I scroll back to reblog!) and I failed on day 11 when my pet needed emergency vet treatment and the choice would be to pay $400 to treat it (and fail because I only had $260 left at that point), or pay $50 to put it to sleep. Who would do that!?
